If you believe you have an amazing idea for TEDxAdelaide events and the community, send an email through to firstname.lastname@example.org
I want to run a TEDx Event. How can I do that?
You may qualify to run a TEDxAdelaide Salon. Salon events are often small weekly or monthly events that keep a TEDx community engaged between regular TEDx events. It’s a unique kind of gathering that TEDx organisers hold which allows the conversation to continue, in person. You will need to supply the venue, speakers, manage ticket sales and event personnel. Email email@example.com.
What is TED?
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxAdelaide, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxAdelaide event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
How else can I get involved?
We are looking for corporate partners to sponsor us financially and with goods in kind. If you or a business/organisation you represent are interested in partnering with TEDxAdelaide, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
