Joseph Campbell migrated from the United States to Adelaide, a simple process that involved a bit of paperwork. The reality turned out to be a bit more complicated. Ten years as an expat from Chile to Malawi to Adelaide has him now wondering about our place in the world as advocates.
Born in Los Angeles, Joseph grew up in Texas. When he was eight years old, his father was killed by police, a fact that Joseph only discovered seven years later. Joseph co-wrote a story about his father’s life, which was adapted into a film, Doubting Thomas, in 2016.
He now works at Basketball SA, overseeing education and development activities.
