He established The Zahra Foundation to provide women who leave abusive relationships the opportunity to gain new skills and employment and find safe homes for their families.
Arman is a White Ribbon Ambassador and an Our Watch ambassador who passionately advocates for better policies, procedures and legislation to protect women and their children. He is a member of the Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast Committee, an executive board member for KWY (Kornar Winmil Yunti) Aboriginal Corporation and a non-executive board member for Educating to End Violence Inc.
In the past few years Arman has been involved in a range of events and forums, which discuss men’s behaviour, violence and abuse at home and in the workplace, and abusive and unhealthy relationships. Arman is also a regular speaker at SAPOL domestic violence cadet training.
Arman’s passionate work as a campaigner has recently seen him awarded the 2016 Young South Australian of the Year.
An incredibly driven man, Arman graduated from Louise Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design at UniSA in 2010 and runs his own design and construction firm. He is also an Australian representative in the martial art of Taekwondo and enjoys giving back to the community through his local Rotary club.
