We are excited to officially announce the details for the 2015 TEDx conference in Adelaide.
This year, the TEDx Adelaide team takes on an exciting new challenge as we work to create a bigger and more ambitious event than we have done in previous years, with a diverse group of speakers and an incredible new venue. This year’s event will be held at the heritage listed Adelaide Town Hall on King William Street. The landmark venue was chosen primarily for its centrality, accessibility, capacity, access to public transport and public parking venues – but the event team were also blown away by its beauty and grandeur, and simply can’t wait to see the venue full to the brim with excited audience members and inspirational speakers. The event will be held on the 21st of November, and will be a full day of live TEDx talks, as well as some breakout activities and networking opportunities. On the day you will hear from a line up of great speakers (some of whom you may know, and some you may not), keen to share with you their ideas and experiences. Speakers will be announced throughout October so stay posted to our website and social media accounts for details.
The first TED conference was held in 1984 in a convergence of three fields: technology, entertainment and design. Today, TED conferences welcome people from every discipline and culture, and cover almost any topic imaginable. TEDx was created in the spirit of the mission of ‘ideas worth spreading’, and supports independent organisers who want to create a TED-like event in their own city or community. We are so excited for the opportunity to create an incredible TEDx event in Adelaide, allowing Adelaideans the possibility to build on our knowledges, share our experiences and offer support to the innovations coming out of this wonderful city. The concept behind TEDx Adelaide 2015 is to not only hear and be inspired by incredible ideas, but to take action on those ideas as individuals and as a community. In particular, we will be focussing on ideas and innovations that make Adelaide an industry leading city. We hope you can join us for TEDx Adelaide 2015 in the spirit of ideas worth spreading.
