Who is Cherie Hausler?
Dividing her time between freelance food writing and styling in Sydney and the restaurant she co-owns in Bangkok, Cherie Hausler made a ‘tea change’ to include the Barossa Valley when she decided the only way to balance her food-filled life was to add an organic veggie patch and some chooks into the mix. Dedicated to the experience of good food in its entirety, Cherie believes there are very few things in life that can’t be helped by a proper cup of tea…
What is the essence of your talk?
Using kindness to navigate through the extraordinary amount of information coming at us each day, to ensure a common thread of compassion for ourselves, those we share the planet with, and the planet itself. A chance to explore the concept of ‘feeling’ our decision making rather than always ‘thinking’ things through.
Why have you chosen this topic?
Looking at things from the point of view of kindness opens an entirely new portal of enquiry and discovery. It’s such a profoundly simple way to view the world and our place in it and constantly encourages an opening up to new information without feeling overwhelmed or shutdown by it. I thought it would be great to share the notion so others can have a play with the concept too!
What 3 things would you find in the space between?
Kindness, Compassion and Love
